Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
1. Introduction
Honeycomb Robotics Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Overview platform. The "Service" means the website at overview.sentillianalytics.com together with the Overview mobile applications for iOS and Android (published under the application identifier com.sentillianalytics.overview). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use any part of the Service.
Section 2.5 describes the information the mobile applications collect from your device specifically, including location, camera and photo access, and push notifications.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Encrypted password
- Organization and team membership details
2.2 Field and Agricultural Data
When you use the Service, we collect and store:
- Field boundaries (geographic coordinates and polygons)
- Crop type, planting dates, and harvest dates
- Irrigation type and crop variety information
- Satellite imagery and vegetation index data (NDVI, MSAVI, NDRE)
- Weather data associated with your field locations
- Growth stage assessments and stress analysis results
2.3 Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Browser type and version (web), or the device platform — iOS or Android (mobile applications)
- Pages and features used
- Access times and dates
- IP address
2.4 Cookies and Tracking
We use session cookies to maintain your authentication state. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2.5 Mobile Application Data
The Overview mobile applications request the following device permissions. Each is optional: if you decline, the rest of the app continues to work and only the feature described becomes unavailable.
- Precise location (GPS) — used only while the app is open and in the foreground, to stamp a scouting observation or sensor station with the position you are standing at, to centre the field map on you, and to set the starting point for a scouting route. We never request background or "always" location access, and the app does not track your location when it is closed.
- Camera — used only when you choose to photograph crop conditions to attach to a scouting note, disease report, growth-stage verification, or assigned task.
- Photo library — used only when you choose to attach an existing photo. Please note that photos you select may contain embedded metadata (EXIF), which can include the coordinates and time at which the photo was originally taken. Images are uploaded to us as you selected them, including that metadata.
- Push notifications — if you allow them, the app registers a push token with us so we can send frost warnings, sensor alerts, and scouting-task assignments. The token identifies your device installation, not you personally, and is deleted when you delete your account.
- Device platform — when you enable push notifications we record whether the device is iOS or Android, so notifications are routed to the correct delivery service.
The mobile applications contain no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no cross-app tracking.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process satellite imagery and generate vegetation index analytics for your fields
- Generate growth stage assessments, stress analysis, and actionable insights
- Send you service-related communications (account verification, alerts, updates)
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security threats
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data in the following circumstances:
- Within your organization: Team members in your organization can view shared fields and data as configured by organization administrators.
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform, including server hosting and content delivery, storage, email delivery, payment processing, satellite imagery providers, mapping and routing services, weather data, and push notification delivery. Section 8 lists them individually. These providers only access the data necessary to perform their function.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Encrypted password storage using secure hashing algorithms
- Role-based access controls for organization data
- Regular security assessments
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Field data, satellite imagery, and analytics are retained for the duration of your subscription and a reasonable period thereafter to allow for account reactivation.
You can delete your account and its personal data at any time, yourself. In the mobile app, open Settings → Delete account. On the web, open Settings → Delete account. Full instructions, and what is and is not removed, are on our account deletion page.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data — you can also do this yourself at any time from Settings → Delete account in the mobile app or on the web, without contacting us
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Copernicus / Sentinel-2 imagery providers — for acquiring the satellite imagery we process for your fields
- Hetzner (server hosting) and Cloudflare (content delivery and DDoS protection) — for operating the Service
- Amazon Web Services — for storage of imagery and uploaded photos (S3) and its content delivery network
- Argora — for transactional email such as account verification, password resets, and alerts (delivered via Amazon SES)
- Mapbox — for map rendering on the web application
- USGS National Map (United States Geological Survey) — for the aerial basemap tiles shown beneath your fields in the web and mobile applications; each tile request carries the map area being viewed
- OpenStreetMap-based routing and geocoding services — when you build a scouting route or search for a location, the relevant coordinates are sent to these services to calculate driving directions or resolve a place name
- Open-Meteo — for the weather forecasts and frost estimates shown against your fields
- Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications to your device, and Expo, which operates the push delivery infrastructure for the mobile applications
These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is a professional agricultural tool intended for use by adults in a farming or agronomy business. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
